Julie Revels

Associate Trainer, Consultant, Speaker

Julie's background is rooted in understanding and meeting the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) with a specific focus on social, emotional and mental health. Julie is highly regarded and has an established reputation in the SEND sector. This includes writing and delivering a wide range of SEND CPD. She co-created and delivered a bespoke programme 'An introduction to Autism' to over 350 participants. She is also a regular speaker at the national TES SEND show.

Alongside her work with KCA, Julie continues to work with national organisations as a trainer, consultant and adviser. These include the National Association of Special Educational Needs, (NASEN) and the British Association of Early Childhood Education.

Julie has been an associate with KCA since 2014. Part of her time with KCA was spent as interim Director of training. This enabled her to gain an in depth understanding of the ethos and values held by KCA.

Julie has a strong knowledge base relating to attachment, trauma and resilience and has delivered over 250 events to a range of audiences for KCA. She is committed to her own on-going professional development to ensure it is relevant and up-to-date.

Julie is passionate about the transformative nature of the knowledge and the science base of KCA's work and the impact this can have on the workforce in improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
