Patrick Finegan
Associate Consultant, Speaker
Pat has worked as a lead Ofsted Inspector, a qualified teacher in primary education and a Virtual Head for Looked After Children. He has also undertaken commissions for the National College for Teaching and Learning, and was a ministerial adviser for the Department for Education (DFE).
He has built up extensive inspection experience in all types of schools, local authorities and Virtual Schools across the years, and was an expert witness for the House of Commons Select Committee for Looked After Children.
Pat has worked with and supported the most vulnerable children in our society for much of his career, and is single-minded in his drive to improve their lives. He has done this through providing strong leadership and vision for giving Looked After Children opportunities equal to all children.
Pat is an experienced writer and trainer who specialised in creating Outstanding Schools and improving the education outcomes for vulnerable children.
Pat also runs Sutton Education Solutions Ltd which has undertaken commissions for numerous Local Authorities on many aspects of education.
Outside of work Pat lives with his wife in Sutton Coldfield. He enjoys foreign travel, reading, and is Captain of the veterans at Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club.
